What's in a Name? Aguacate...

Aguacate (ah-gwah-kah-tay) is Spanish for avocado, the green-skinned fruit most commonly associated with the popular Mexican dip, guacamole. Unbeknownst to many, however, is that in addition to being the key ingredient in a delicious dip, the avocado, being a rich source of vitamins A, B, D, E, and potassium, is one of the healthiest and more effective naturally-occurring elements available in the care for skin. Avocado oil penetrates the skin evenly and quickly, moisturizes and replenishes tired skin, reduces the signs of ageing, and actually increases the amount of collagen in your skin giving it a healthier and more vibrant lease on life.

In promoting an organic and natural approach to skin care, the many, healthy benefits of the avocado simply could not be overlooked, which is why most of our products are infused with significant amounts of avocado oil. Nevertheless, when deciding what to name our skin care company, we recognized that neither is the avocado the only ingredient in an effective, natural skin care experience and so we tacked on "& Co." Aguacate & Co., therefore, is meant to represent the storehouse of organic, natural ingredients at work in our products and the fact that none of the entrepreneurial minds behind the company are more important than the products themselves.

We chose "aguacate" over "avocado" just for fun!
