When used externally, clay works in two ways.   First, negatively charged particles act like a magnet, attracting the positively charged toxins, impurities, and the free radicals that have accumulated just below the skin, drawing them out.

Second, the mineral composition of the moist clay is able to flow into tiny pores.   As the mask is absorbed, debris is pulled from the pores, hair follicles are unclogged, and dead exfoliated skin is removed.   As the clay dries it shrinks, pulling loose whatever has been absorbed.

How to Use

Mix 1 tablespoon of mask with 2 tablespoons of water or oil.   Apply a thin layer.   Allow to dry for 15-20 minutes before removing with a wet washcloth.   A few people may experience minor temporary redness.

For thicker hair, massage the mask from your face into your hair.   Shampoo as usual and rinse with the coolest water you can tolerate.

Ingredients

Montmorillonite clay, sodium bentonite clay, organic diatomite minerals, French green illite clay, and Moroccan Rhassoul clay.

How many applications

Each 2.5 ounce jar contains 15 to 20 applications.

What to expect

This naturally absorbent combination draws out dirt and impurities.   Mildly abrasive, it gently exfoliates dead skin cells, minimizing the appearance of pore size.
