Evidence suggests agaricus blazeienhances production of cytokines, such as interferon and interleukin, and reduces undesirable effects of some medicines. Cordyceps, reishi and shitake stimulates immunomodulating cytokines, such as TNF-alpha and interleukin-1. Coriolus promotes beneficial apoptosis.
