60 SoftgelsIf you are over the age of 40, consider supplementing with CoQ10-H2 from Vitamin Research Products.
Over 30 years of research indicates CoQ10 supports neurological, cognitive, liver, immune and cardiac health, including healthy blood pressure levels.
CoQ10 resides within every cell in the human body, where it is involved with cellular energy production. It is also a powerful antioxidant, protecting cells throughout the body and in blood from oxidation.
What is CoQ10-H2?
CoQ10-H2 is the active, antioxidant form of Coenzyme Q10.
CoQ10-H2 is the predominant form of CoQ10 transported in the blood where it inhibits oxidation of lipoproteins (e.g. LDL-cholesterol and HDL-cholesterol are lipoproteins).
For example, when LDL-cholesterol is subject to being oxidized, it is CoQ10-H2 that works as an antioxidant, interfering with the oxidation process, if CoQ10-H2 is there. Oxidized LDL-cholesterol is associated with increasing plaque in arterial walls, leading to narrowed blood vessels.
Why CoQ10-H2?
Healthy, young adults convert CoQ10 to CoQ10-H2, but the ability to efficiently convert CoQ10 to CoQ10-H2 declines with increasing age, medication-use and health status.
Supplementing with CoQ10-H2 restores CoQ10 in the body, and eliminates the extra-step of conversion.
Individuals who smoke, make poor dietary choices, are chronically stressed and those with compromised health are more susceptible to low CoQ10 levels, and the ability to convert CoQ10 to CoQ10-H2.
CoQ10 sustains cellular energy
The inability to convert CoQ10 (ubiquinone) to CoQ10-H2 (ubiquinol) can hinder energy production. Cells are the source of the energy that keeps us alive (e.g. breathing, sweating, moving fingers and toes). It is not stimulant energy.
Your healthcare professional may suggest supplementing with CoQ10-H2 if you are taking cholesterol-reducing agents.
Few supplements have as much scientific research behind them as CoQ10*.
Only recently have scientists learned how to stabilize the reduced form of CoQ10, making CoQ10-H2 available as a dietary supplement. The FDA accepted the CoQ10-H2 available from Vitamin Research Products as a New Dietary Ingredient in 2005.
Available in 50mg and 100 mg capsules.
